Busy July 4th Weekend

This year's July 4 celebrations were magnificent.  Attended 2 parades, fireworks show, Phillies baseball game and a pool party.  Icing on the cake - hubby was off too!  Spending today doing a photoshoot and paperwork for Mrs. America.  Now that's what I call a wonderful weekend!!!

DREAMS DO COME TRUE!!!!

To have been crowned Mrs. New Jersey America 2013, is a dream come true and I am truly HONORED.  That may sound cliche, but it isn't! Clearly, I remember the day laying across my bed watching the Mrs. America Pageant on television saying to myself "I would love to do that someday!"  Ironically, Mrs. New Jersey won the pageant.  Thanks to the continual encouragement of my husband and the faith of a dear friend, I entered the pageant this year. And, to my surprise (which is obvious in the photos), I won and continued to cry happy tears for the next 5 days! Well, still crying happy tears!!!  August 28 cannot come soon enough to grace the Mrs. America stage!  This is the Division 1 of all pageants, and to be considered as a candidiate for the title is beyond my imagination! 

Many thanks to my wonderful Director, Geri Watson!!!! A true example of a queen having been named Third Runner Up in 2003 at the Mrs. America Pageant! She and her husband Chuck are magnificent and I cannot thank them enough.

It was also a joy to have shared the stage with Mrs. Pennsylvania, a dear friend, Andrea!!! Congratulations again my friend!!!
